Peshawar Zalmi PSL 2024 Coaching Staff

Daren Sammy, the former West Indies captain, has been appointed as the new head coach of Peshawar Zalmi. The team has also brought in the former South African batter, Hashim Amla, as the new batting coach. Englishman James Foster has been assigned the fielding duties, while ex-Pakistan bowler Mohammad Akram will be the new bowling coach for the team. He is a good man.

Daren Sammy As a Head Coach

Daren Sammy has been reappointed as the head coach of Peshawar Zalmi. Taking over from James Foster, who was leading the team during the previous season. Daren Sammy has been an integral part of the Peshawar Zalmi franchise since the Pakistan Super League (PSL) inception in 2016. He is one of the most prominent overseas players in the league. Initially, he served as the vice-captain of the team but took over the captaincy after Shahid Afridi’s resignation in 2017.

Until 2020, he was an important member of the team as a player. However, the franchise made a mid-season change by replacing him with Wahab Riaz as the full-time captain. Following this, Daren Sammy served as the head coach of the team for two years, from 2020 to 2021.

Muhammad Akram As a Bowling coach

Mohammad Akram, a former Pakistani cricket player who represented the country in Test and ODI matches, spent a decade playing County Cricket in the UK. After retiring from professional cricket, he worked as the head coach of the National Cricket Academy. Muhammad Akram Is the bowling coach for the Pakistani national team.

He has also gained experience in commentating on cricket matches for Ten Sports and Sky Sports London. Currently, he serves as the Director of Cricketing Affairs and the bowling coach for Peshawar Zalmi.
